The year is coming to an end – but the fun and learning is not! Nationally, Lifelong Learning Centres will be launching their annual Summer Program in 148 centres. 

Across Australia, we are recognising Day for Daniel as part of National Safe Work Month. Day for Daniel is Australia's largest day of action to help raise awareness of child safety, a cause that’s close to the hearts of all our Centre Managers and educators.

Across our community of Lifelong Learning Centres, we are excited to be celebrating the littlest people in our lives – children!

Our Lifelong Learning Community is excited to celebrate our Educators this Early Childhood Educators Day. We are so proud to acknowledge and show our appreciation for the ones who make a difference in developing lifelong learners. 

Science is around us everywhere, everyday – but for one week especially, National Science Week, we are exploring all the special science moments that happen around us and learning more. 

Exploring science concepts from an early age is about fostering a love of exploration, discovery and imagination. 

More than 140 Lifelong Learning Centres across the country will recognise Early Learning Matters Week, an initiative aimed at raising awareness and understanding of the importance of early learning. 

Updated 14 July 2020: Across Australia, our child care centres remain open and operating in line with our COVID-19 Step Down Plan and have implemented extensive health and hygiene practices. 

As children grow and develop, they become more curious of the world around them – and are driven to learn and explore. This is an important time to support their curiosity by exposing them to as many learning opportunities as possible. 

Australia has experienced unprecedented disruptions to everyday life as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, not least of which has been the disruption to children’s education. So, is early education and school readiness more or less important now?

As you consider how to support your child’s education at home it is also important to give some thought to how you can set up your home to create an inviting child-friendly play space.

Crossing the mid-line is an essential physical milestone for children and one that demonstrates normal development. Providing opportunities for this skill to develop is essential.

The calmer we are, the calmer our children are, the longer they play and concentrate. But 'how do you do it?', and how do you enjoy slowing down?
